Babysitting...

Today I am babysitting two little boys that belong to my friend Jessica Hines. They are so cute and they are getting along with my kids so well. I love being able to help out my friends! Earlier this week I also had to babysit some little girls that belong to another friend of mine. It was so much fun when I had to babysit for Alisha! The girls were so cute and very polite. Ethan enjoyed himself just as much because he had a kid that was his age! They played and played in my livingroom until they were a little tired. Then we decided to lay down and watch a movie. They were so well behaved and I was even able to rest a bit!

You might think I am crazy but I love babysitting! Especially when the kids are well behaved and they get along so well with my kids!!! Today we have watched a movie and at the moment the kids are playing in the basement where all the toys are at. In a bit we will be going outside to play. That way the kids could use some of there energy!!!

This is my day.... And I love it!!!

Ten Months Later and I am Still Happy in Germany!!

It's been about 10 months that we moved to Germany. We have adapted very well here in this new Country of ours. The kids enjoy going to school everyday. Ethan and I entertain each other everyday when the kids are in school.

Today is a Saturday and Chris is at work so it's just me and the kids and house cleaning to do.  I try taking some special time with my kids, even if it's 10 minutes  It's been 2 months since I had my foot surgery and I am slowly but surely getting back into things. My foot isn't 100%. It still hurts and when I do a lot of walking or standing then my foot get's swollen and it hurts a whole lot.

When I first arrived in Germany I looked for ways to meet new people and I found this great Organisation named RESA! I went to one of there activities and I just new that I wanted to join! So I went to there monthly social and joined. I have met the most unselfesh women here. They do such great things for people that are less fortunate and I wanted to be a part of that! So I have been trying to help as much as I can. Recently I volunteered to make a salad and take rolls to the Fisher House. The Fisher House is a house that is available to the family of wounded soldiers that are in the hospital. I had to make enough salad and take rolls for 30 people. Well when I took everything to them and left the house I just felt this high!! I was so happy to have made someones day, acctually 30 peoples day!! That is a big deal (at least for me)!! I was so happy riding back home! This is the kind of stuff I am doing these days and I am proud of doing them. I have also been given the chance to be Co-Chair of Historian. Basically I help out Jessica Hines who is the Chair of Historian with everything she needs help with. I am happy to be a part of something that makes such a big difference in the world!!

This is my life in Germany and I wouldn't change anything...

Parents are here....

My parents are here from CA. They got here on the 5th of September. It has been great having them here with us. My kids are so happy and I am so happy. Unfortunatly the first week has not been very good for us. My babies got sick... :-( I don't like it when they are sick. And with them going to school and meetings and trying to get things done around the house it has been hard for me to show them around Germany. I feel real bad. On Monday they will be going to Madrid and spending some time together! I am so excided for them. It is my gift to them for their anniversary. I am glad that I can do something nice for them. They are great parents. They have always been here for me when I needed them.

Hopefully when they come back from Spain we will have some more things planned for them. There are castles that I want to show them and I also want to show them our church that is located in our town. It is very big and beautiful. We do have something planned for next week!! I almost forgot! First we have the "Welfare Bazaar" at Ramstein Air Base. That should be fun. Then my baby boy, Mathew will be turning 6 years old and we will be having a birthday party for him!! So next week is full of events!! YAY FOR BEING BUSY!!

So I am sorry for not writing in my blog for a while. I have been busy with the kids and their school and also enjoying my parents company....

Rain....

It rains a lot in Germany. I love rain and snow so it's nice. The thing is that I lived in Las Vegas before and I don't have any clothes or shoes for this weather so that means SHOPPING!!! I have to get some rain boots for me and the kids and some nice coats that can be worn in the rain and snow. Okay, I just wrote a "To Do List". Force of habit!

Yesterday my husband came home from work and it was pretty cold in the house so I told him to get some wood from the shed and start a fire in the fire place. I love that!! It made it feel so homie! Then for dinner I made butternut squash soup. It was a perfect night.

My parents are coming to visit us! Very soon. They should be here on September 5th. I am trying to set some trips for them so they could visit some places. They want to go to Spain, Italy, and Paris. So far I have Paris and Spain. I think that they will be happy with those two! We will be going to Paris with them but Spain is going to be only my mom and dad. I am so happy for them. They deserve to do something like this. My mom works so hard and my dad does too. They deal with so much stress that I think this trip is going to be very good for them. Germany is a place that is filled with seranity and peacfulness. My dad likes to go for walks and Germans do too. There are lots of trails here and I think he is going to love to take several walks and enjoy the trees and all the beautiful things that are around here. I usually don't like to walk but now I love to because of all the nice things that I see while I walk.

So I am looking forward to the month to come.... And my kids are too....

Making friends...

Yesterday I went out to Karaoke night and met some girls. They were a very fun group of ladies! I enjoyed spending time with them and talking to them. I didn't even sing but I had a great time! I have been in Germany for 3 months now and it is going real well. We are still trying to catch up with everything we had to spend but the kids have been enrolled into school and I have bought them everything they need for school already. Now we are just waiting for school to start. As soon as school starts I am thinking of going to school myself! Going to do some things for myself! Someone told me once, "A happy mom equals happy kids". So I am taking care of me so my kids are taken care of.

Life in Germany is good! And it will be getting better....
