It's been about 10 months that we moved to Germany. We have adapted very well here in this new Country of ours. The kids enjoy going to school everyday. Ethan and I entertain each other everyday when the kids are in school.
Today is a Saturday and Chris is at work so it's just me and the kids and house cleaning to do. I try taking some special time with my kids, even if it's 10 minutes It's been 2 months since I had my foot surgery and I am slowly but surely getting back into things. My foot isn't 100%. It still hurts and when I do a lot of walking or standing then my foot get's swollen and it hurts a whole lot.
When I first arrived in Germany I looked for ways to meet new people and I found this great Organisation named RESA! I went to one of there activities and I just new that I wanted to join! So I went to there monthly social and joined. I have met the most unselfesh women here. They do such great things for people that are less fortunate and I wanted to be a part of that! So I have been trying to help as much as I can. Recently I volunteered to make a salad and take rolls to the Fisher House. The Fisher House is a house that is available to the family of wounded soldiers that are in the hospital. I had to make enough salad and take rolls for 30 people. Well when I took everything to them and left the house I just felt this high!! I was so happy to have made someones day, acctually 30 peoples day!! That is a big deal (at least for me)!! I was so happy riding back home! This is the kind of stuff I am doing these days and I am proud of doing them. I have also been given the chance to be Co-Chair of Historian. Basically I help out Jessica Hines who is the Chair of Historian with everything she needs help with. I am happy to be a part of something that makes such a big difference in the world!!
This is my life in Germany and I wouldn't change anything...
